Gis Analyst Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our company as a GIS Analyst. As part of our team, you work alongside other geospatial engineers and professionals to manage GIS databases and tools. You use these to capture, process, and analyze complex geospatial datasets. You employ your skills in Python, Arcgis, and SQL server management to ensure stakeholders and clients have access to the data they need. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience and demonstrable skills in all these areas, in addition to other scripting languages and common GIS software and database hardware.

Gis Analyst Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage GIS databases, including for access privileges, data security, and backup and recovery procedures
  • Extract, convert, and provide data access to stakeholders and team members
  • Create new data solutions for projects as required
  • Train team members on database processes

Gis Analyst Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Demonstrable skills with GIS software, database administration, and Adobe Suite
  • Prior experience with land planning projects, geospatial data gathering and analysis, and map and database production
  • A collaborative and creative personality, able to contribute to large, team-based projects
