Food Expeditor Job Summary

We need a motivated and passionate Food Expeditor to help us ensure our meal services run smoothly. You will be assisting wherever necessary to keep the flow of the meal service moving. Job duties include setting up tables with silverware, topping off condiments on the tables, organizing ticket orders, adding garnish to plates before they leave the kitchen, running food from the kitchen to guest tables, refilling water and other beverages, and clearing off tables after guests leave. You will also monitor inventory in the stockroom and help keep it organized and clean. You must be willing to be part of our tight-knit team and perform any job duties necessary during meal services.

Food Expeditor Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare tables for meal service with silverware and condiments
  • Assemble orders in the kitchen when they arrive
  • Garnish plates when they are ready
  • Run plates from the kitchen to the tables
  • Refill guests' drinks
  • Clear tables when patrons leave
  • Monitor and organize inventory in the stockroom

Food Expeditor Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Some restaurant experience (preferred)
  • Current Food Handler's card
  • Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule
