Financial Director Job Summary

Financial Director Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive the entire financial planning process for the organization using performance and risk analysis
- Maintain a keen awareness of the company's current financial position
- Read the market to proactively address potential problems
- Monitor the Finance Department's IT system, suggesting modifications as needed
- Set goals based on projections for accounting and finance departments
- Monitor all audit and internal control processes
- Cultivate partner/investor relationships and drive corporate fundraising strategy
- Generate quarterly and annual reports that clearly explain the state of the company’s finances
- Analyze, forecast, and report market changes to upper executives
- Maintain our commitment to compliance with all external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and guidelines
Financial Director Requirements and Qualifications
- BS/BA in accounting, finance or similar field; master's degree is a plus
- CPA credentials a plus
- Successful work experience as director of finance or similar role
- Solid working knowledge of corporate finance principles, accounting, industry standards/best practices and relevant laws
- Strong financial analysis skills and proven ability to forecast market fluctuations
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
- Aptitude for analytical thinking and strategic development
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
