Financial Counselor Job Summary
Our health care network is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Counselor. You will discuss insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization with patients, explain their insurance coverage and what costs are not covered. In addition to helping patients understand their remaining balance, you will help them set up payment plans when necessary. You will also be responsible for taking initial payments and sending payment reminders. Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable about a variety of insurance types, including plans offered by the government. Applicants must be familiar with medical terminology; those who have professional experience with medical insurance or admitting are preferred.

Financial Counselor Requirements and Qualifications
