Family Advocate Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate Family Advocate to help us make a difference in our communities. In this role, you will work with families in need who have been referred to our program to determine what services would benefit them, communicate how to access these services, and then assist them in applying for and obtaining the services. We focus primarily on educational resources and programs, but we also collaborate with medical and mental health professionals when necessary.

Family Advocate Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discuss academic challenges the family may be having

  • Assist the client in filling out applications and completing the process to obtain services
  • Collaborate with medical and mental health professionals when necessary

Family Advocate Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood education (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Bilingual skills (preferred)
