Dialysis Technician Job Summary
Our clinic has an immediate opening for an experienced Dialysis Technician. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide hemodialysis treatment to patients according to their doctor's orders. You will be responsible for setting up the machinery, preparing patients for treatment, monitoring vital signs and equipment during treatment, and completing their treatment according to our policies and procedures. Applicants must have at least six months of dialysis experience and current CPR certification.
Dialysis Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up equipment
- Obtain pre- and post-weight of patients according to company protocols
- Make patients comfortable before treatment begins
- Initiate and complete treatment while following all safety guidelines
- Monitor patient during treatment
- Clean and disinfect machines
Dialysis Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of dialysis experience
- Knowledge of machines and equipment used to perform dialysis
- Proficient with basic computer programs
- Excellent communication skills
