Dental Technician Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Dental Technician to join our prosthetics team. In this position, you will be responsible for creating a variety of different prosthetics for our clients, including dentures, bridges, and crowns. You will work closely with a dentist to figure out what each patient needs, use computer-aided design software to make a design, and then use various plastering techniques to create a final product. You need to have strong quality control skills, as any mistake you make can cause hardships for our patients. While experience with dentistry is important, craft experience, such as experience with ceramic manufacturing, is also beneficial.
Dental Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Create molds and models of patients' teeth
- Craft crowns, dentures, and other prostheses
- Communicate with dentists to determine what they need
- Document all of your activities and specifications of your prostheses
Dental Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Certificate from a training program (preferred)
- CAD software experience
- Attention to detail
- Collaboration skills
