We are seeking a skilled, experienced credit analyst to join our growing organization. In this position, you will analyze financial data to evaluate the likelihood with which a borrowerwill honor theirfinancial obligations. Credit Analyst Duties and Responsibilities
- Determine the creditworthiness of both existing and prospective customers
- Examine financial transactions and credit history on a case-by-case basis (applications, balance sheets, bank statements, legal documents, etc.)
- Carry out ratio, trend, and cash flow analysis
- Generate sound projections that can be justified with data
- Judiciously analyze data and create clear, objective reportsâassessing risks and benefits involved
- Comply with all credit policies and guidelines; regularly monitor loans for compliance
- Continually observe corporate portfolio asset quality
- Draft models that predict trends and patterns in the credit market
Credit Analyst Requirements and Qualifications
- BS degree in business, statistics, or related field
- Significant work history as a credit analyst strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical abilities and a strong working knowledge of statistical packages and financial software
- Commitment to remaining current on all legal, compliance, and market risk matters
- Proven experience analyzing cash flow, leverage, collateral, and customer creditworthiness
- Solid communication and presentation skills
