We are seeking an experienced, focused, and organized computer engineer to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a vital and strategic role in our IT department, responsible for the development, testing, and vetting of all software used within the company. You will work with the other senior members of the technology staff to effectively manage the build, design, and maintenance of the computer networks and systems used to power our multi-office operation.

• Conduct regular hardware testing using available technology and testing tools
• Perform validation testing for new and rebuilt motherboards
• Update existing computer equipment and integrate new technology into existing units
• Design and oversee the production of computer hardware equipment as needed
• Develop a plan for identifying and isolating hardware defects
• Deliver agreed upon IT system solutions in a timely manner
• Verify that the proposed final product follows best practices for enterprise systems is within cost guidelines and meets required specifications
• Build Windows virtual machines in VMWare and on-premise environments
• Collaborate with other project teams throughout the organization to determine ideal build specifications to meet their requirements prior to the start of any system build
• Design, develop, and/or install software systems as needed
• Design and test circuits and other electronic components for maximum efficiency
• Meet the needs of the organization by designing support peripherals
• Anticipate needs and submit orders for replacement hardware as necessary

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering
• Master's degree in computer engineer preferred
• 4+ years working with both hardware and software in a large corporate office environment
• Experience using CVS and SVN
• Knowledge of design analytics, algorithms, and object-oriented modeling and design
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and presenting
• Decisiveness under pressure and strong critical thinking skills
• Willingness to work off-core-hours, when necessary, to deploy software or upgrade hardware
