Collision Technician Job Summary
Our body shop is looking for a Collision Technician to help provide autobody repair to our clients after an accident. In this position, you are responsible for installing and painting new pieces and examining the car for unrepairable issues. Our ideal candidate has a certificate from an auto repair program, but we are willing to work with anyone who has experience as an automotive technician, whether specifically in collision repair or in general automotive services.
Collision Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine cars for damage
- Give a price estimate for repairs
- Order and install the appropriate parts
- Paint and finish the automobile
- Record all repairs and inventory
Collision Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Certificate in auto repair from a technical college (preferred)
- Automotive repair experience
- Painting skills and manual dexterity
