Claims Assistant Job Summary

Our company is seeking a part-time Claims Assistant to provide support during periods with a high volume of insurance claims. This role involves creating new claim records, verifying information, and answering client questions so that our analysts can focus on other responsibilities. You may also help process payments, document authorizations or refusals, and transcribe statements for our files and regulatory purposes. Although it is rare, if there is an extreme staffing shortage, you may be asked to perform home inspections to assess the damage and determine the payout needs of our clients.

Claims Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • An associate degree or a bachelor's degree a plus
  • Some administrative experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
