Claims Adjuster Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Claims Adjuster to accurately process claims for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing policyholder claims, investigating the damage or incident outlined in the claims, and evaluating the validity of their request for reimbursement. We prefer candidates who have worked in insurance claims for at least one year and who are comfortable communicating with different agencies, including law enforcement, medical professionals, and other insurance companies.

Claims Adjuster Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information regarding claim
  • Inspect damage of properties or injury of persons involved
  • Examine photographs, video surveillance, audio clips, statements, and all other documentation related to the claim
  • Evaluate the extent of damage and comparable compensation requirements
  • Research and verify insurance policy coverage
  • Document all findings in concise claims report and present claims to insurance companies
  • Negotiate with claimant to settle claim and issue payouts

Claims Adjuster Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Meticulous investigative skills
  • Analytically and mathematically minded
