Care Assistant Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, organized care assistant to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in improving the quality of life for our patients. You will assist patients in daily activities and tasks, administer medications, and provide physical support for patients. You will also be responsible for carrying out treatment plans and instructions as prescribed by the patient's physician or nurse.
Care Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily personal hygiene
Support patients with mobility, standing, and physical activities
Follow care plan as laid out by patient physicians and RNs
Serve and monitors prescription medicine intake
Schedule patient appointments, cancellations, and update records
Maintain cleanliness and sanitary needs of patients' space and living areas
May record patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, and weight
Ensure patients' safety; remove any safety hazards
Work as a vital part in a team of medical professionals
Care Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support, CPR, and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) license from the American Association of Medical Assistants; Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification preferred
Performs all tasks in compliance with the company policies, rules, and procedures; understanding of HIPAA Rules and Regulations
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; great interpersonal relations and confident demeanor
Compassionate and sensitive to patients' needs and concerns
