Building Maintenance Worker Job Summary

We are looking for a hard-working, dependable Building Maintenance Worker to join our facilities management team. In this role, your main task is to assist with maintenance around the property, ensuring our building remains safe and functional. You may be asked to perform basic repairs on our plumbing and electrical systems, so we are looking for someone with some experience in these areas. You may also assist with carpentry and painting tasks, landscaping, and deep cleaning tasks. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.

Building Maintenance Worker Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine building inspections to identify possible issues
  • Replace broken fixtures and hardware
  • Assist with painting and hanging drywall as needed
  • Assist with landscape maintenance and intensive cleaning tasks
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace

Building Maintenance Worker Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
  • General construction or prior facilities maintenance (a plus)
  • Specialized experience with plumbing, electricity, or HVAC maintenance (a plus)
  • Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment
  • Mechanical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to regularly lift items that are 50-100 lbs.

  • Valid driver's license
