Architectural Drafter Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Architectural Drafter to join our company. Your job will be to collaborate with other architects to create designs for our commercial and residential construction projects according to client specifications. Our ideal candidate has a degree in architectural drafting and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and other computer-aided design programs. A certificate from the American Design Drafting Association is a plus. You must submit a portfolio of previous designs you have worked on with your application.
Architectural Drafter Duties and Responsibilities
- Discuss the scope and expectations of the project with clients
- Collaborate with other architects on the team to determine the initial design
- Submit the design to the client for feedback and update it as necessary
- Analyze your design to ensure it meets client specifications before submitting a final version
Architectural Drafter Requirements and Qualifications
- Associate degree in architectural drafting
- Certificate from American Design Drafting Association (preferred)
- Excellent math and communication skills
- Must be able to work well on a team
- Proficiency with common drafting programs
