What You Will Contribute:

Solution Architect Join Badger Meter – Innovating Water Technology for a Sustainable Future At Badger Meter, we’re leading the way in smart water solutions that help communities and utilities manage one of the world’s most precious resources. Our mission is to deliver innovative technologies that empower customers to make informed decisions, conserve water, and ensure sustainability for generations to come. As a Solution Architect, you’ll be on the front end of the sales process, partnering with customers and collaborating with our sales team to design solutions that meet their unique needs. This role is about building relationships, driving innovation, and working as part of a team to deliver exceptional value—not transactional selling. This role will cover the Central/Eastern US Territory (NC, SC, VA, WV, KY, TN), the preferred candidate will be in Charlotte NC, and must live in the territory served.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during the pre-sales process, providing technical expertise and solution design for water quality and smart metering systems.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Channel Managers, and distributors to present innovative technologies to customers and prospects.
  • Participate in technical seminars, trade shows, and industry events to showcase Badger Meter’s leadership in water technology.
  • Respond to RFPs, bids, and customer inquiries with precision and professionalism.
  • Mentor and support internal teams, sharing knowledge and best practices to strengthen overall sales effectiveness.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive offerings to ensure Badger Meter remains the partner of choice for utilities and municipalities.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in the water/wastewater industry or technical solution design.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% or as needed for customer engagement and industry events.
