Desired Skills:
The Level 3 Cyber Security Engineer (SE) shall possess the following capabilities:
  • 5 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size. BS in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3 years experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope / size with MS in Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline
  • 1 year as a Cybersecurity Engineer on programs of similar scope/size with a PhD or JD degree
  • An ACTIVE TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Job Duties:
  • The Cybersecurity Engineer is a specialized field of system engineering that integrates cybersecurity requirements, engineering principles, and system design standards to ensure the architecture for DoD weapons systems, communications platforms, and information remains secure.
  • You will use your systems engineering expertise review and assess of a wide range of complex weapon systems to identify technical risks within the system's cybersecurity posture.
  • You will work with the system owner to develop and recommend appropriate mitigations to manage cybersecurity risks. Responsible for reviewing and assessing cybersecurity architectures across a variety of applications or domains for systems with large size, complexity, and risk.
  • Partner with the DoD customers building these systems to guide them and to help them understand the cybersecurity trade space.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity best practices and Threat-based Cybersecurity frameworks
  • Experience providing system security engineering guidance for DoD customers
  • Familiar with system authorization process and necessary security artifacts

Education:
  • Five (5) years' experience as a Cyber Security Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required. Bachelor's degree in (Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline) or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required .
  • Three (3) years' experience as a Cyber Security Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required. Master's degree in (Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline) or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • One (1) year experience as a Cyber Security Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required. PhD or JD degree in (Computer Science, System Engineering, or related discipline) or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required

Qualifications:
  • Eighteen (18) year's as a Cyber Security Engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.

Certifications:
  • CompTIA Security + (required)
  • One of more of the following within 6 months of start on contract: CPTE, CEH, CISA, CISSP

Clearance Requirements:
  • TS/SCI with Poly
