Role Overview

The Cyber Engineer will support the development and integration of advanced cyber capabilities focused on embedded and commercial platforms. This role includes reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and development of tools used to access and analyze complex systems. The engineer will work with RF-based technologies, embedded platforms, and COTS systems while supporting operational and maintenance efforts for deployed cyber capabilities.

The position operates in a research and development environment focused on developing and sustaining cyber tools and capabilities related to RF and SIGINT technologies.

Salary Range: $150,000 --$200,000

What You’ll Do

  • Develop cyber capabilities and tools supporting specialized mission systems

  • Perform vulnerability research and reverse engineering of COTS and embedded platforms

  • Support development and implementation of RF access techniques, tooling, and methodologies

  • Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of cyber tools in operational environments

  • Provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support for existing cyber capabilities and toolsets

  • Analyze hardware and software components to identify security weaknesses and potential exploitation paths

  • Collaborate with engineering and mission teams to support capability development and integration

Required Experience

  • Experience with vulnerability research and/or reverse engineering of software or embedded systems

  • Experience working with COTS platforms or embedded hardware/software environments

  • Experience supporting development or maintenance of cyber tools or capabilities

  • Background in Linux-based environments and security-focused engineering work

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
