Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Engineer with strong analytic capabilities to support mission-critical operations within the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain cyber-focused heat-map analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics that enhance situational awareness, threat detection, and operational decision-making. This role requires a blend of cybersecurity engineering expertise, data-analytics proficiency, and an understanding of intelligence-driven cyber operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cyber heat-map visualizations to support threat analysis, vulnerability tracking, and operational readiness assessments.
  • Engineer and optimize cyber metrics frameworks, KPIs, and performance dashboards for leadership and mission teams.
  • Integrate data from multiple cyber tools, sensors, and intelligence sources into unified analytic products.
  • Conduct trend analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling to  identify emerging threats or operational gaps.
  • Support cyber operations teams by providing actionable insights derived from  analytics and visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with intelligence analysts, system engineers, and mission partners to refine data requirements and improve analytic outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with IC cybersecurity standards, data-handling policies, and security protocols.
  • Develop automation scripts and data pipelines to streamline ingestion, normalization, and visualization processes.
  • Participate in technical briefings, documentation development, and engineering reviews.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's  degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related technical field.
  • 3-6+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering, cyber  analytics, or intelligence-support roles.
  • Hands-on  experience with:
    • SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, QRadar)
    • Data visualization tools (Kibana, Tableau, Power BI)
    • Python or similar scripting languages
    • Log  analysis, network telemetry, and cyber threat data
  • Demonstrated  ability to build dashboards, heat maps, or analytic visualizations.
  • Strong  understanding of cyber operations, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; polygraph preferred or required depending on customer environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Master's degree in a technical or analytic discipline.
  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community cyber missions.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, CVSS scoring, and cyber-risk frameworks.
  • Experience with machine learning or statistical modeling for cyber analytics.
  • Certifications such as PCISSP, CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, GCTI, CASP+, or equivalent.
