We are seeking a motivated Intern (Cybersecurity) to join our team for a summer internship with Paul Hastings.

This role offers hands-on exposure to key areas of cybersecurity, including Security Engineering & Operations,Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC),andIdentity & Access Management (IAM).You'll work with experienced professionals, contribute to real projects, conduct independent research, and gain insight into how cybersecurity functions at an enterprise level.

In this capacity, the Intern will:

  • Assist in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events and alerts;
  • Support the implementation and documentation of security policies, standards, and procedures;
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments and help track remediation efforts;
  • Work on IAM-related tasks such as access reviews, provisioning, and audit support;
  • Help with GRC activities including risk assessments, compliance tracking, and third party risk management; and
  • Collaborate across teams to support cross-functional security initiatives.

Proficiencies:

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and tools;
  • Familiarity with operating systems, networking, cloud and cybersecurity technologies;
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail; and
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The hourly wage that we expect to pay for this position is $20.00 per hour.
