Job description

Hillcrest Youth Services is currently seeking a Part-Timeย Youth Worker Third Shift (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)ย to add to our team of professionals.ย  This position will be responsible for the supervision of the youth in our residential program.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Supervision of residents.
  • Work schedule:ย ย Third shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; A 2-week training program (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) is required upon hire.ย ย 
  • Ability to be a positive role model.
  • Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents.
  • Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times.
  • Maintain complete and accurate resident records.
  • Ability to manage personal stress.
  • Administer appropriate medication(s).
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure manual.
  • Transportation of residents.
  • Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit.
  • Ability to work with youth of all ages.
  • Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrest's programming.

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.ย  Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred.
  • Work schedule:ย  Third Shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am.ย Applicants must be available a minimum of three (3) days per month.ย A 2-week training program (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) is required upon hire.ย ย 
  • Previous work with juveniles highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
