CURRENT OPENING:

Wrap Line Operator - Scarborough

$20-$22/hour

SCHEDULE:

12-hour rotating shift (see below)


The wrap line operator position operates on a rotating shift schedule, which allows for 13 weeks off in a calendar year, not including the use of vacation or personal time! It is a 12-hour rotating shift schedule that allows 24/7 coverage while aiming to give employees extended time off within a cycle. This cycle ensures a balance of work and rest by providing a "built-in" week off every month.

The typical schedule runs on a 4-week cycle, where employees work:

  • 4 consecutive night shifts, 3 days off
  • 3 consecutive day shifts, 1 day off
  • 3 consecutive night shifts, 3 days off
  • 4 consecutive day shifts, 7 days off

Requirements

Summary/Objective

The Wrap Line operator is responsible for wrapping the rolls of paper after they have been converted, while ensuring products meet or exceed quality standards.


Essential Functions

  • Operates and maintains equipment for converting and packaging
  • Uses a forklift with a clamp attachment to move the rolls of ย ย ย ย ย paper to and from the machine.
  • Uses computer system to track production, update inventory and label finished product
  • Operates Industrial Truck after acquiring proper license
  • Follows quality requirements to ensure all products meet or exceed specifications
  • Performs light maintenance that is needed on machine and communicates major issues to the supervisor/shift leader
  • Follows all safety requirements and regulations
  • All other duties as assigned
