About the team
Worldpay, LLC seeks Senior Cloud Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to design and deploy cloud architectures on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, IAM) emphasizing scalability and resilience.
What you will be doing
The Senior Cloud Engineer will implement secure, high availability solutions across AWS services to support mission critical workloads. Additionally, the role will:
  • Build cloud native applications leveraging AWS components to maximize performance and reliability. Design and implement scalable cloud based solutions using AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, and IAM, focusing on resiliency and performance. Develop data transformation models with DBT, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility for analytics. Use Terraform for infrastructure automation, managing cloud resources, and ensuring consistent deployment environments. Design and execute data ingestion processes using Kafka, integrating with Spark and Hive for real-time and batch data processing. Manage and monitor data workflows on AWS, optimizing cost and performance across multiple accounts. Create and manage Snowflake data pipelines, leveraging Snowpipe for continuous data loading and time travel features for historical data access. Perform data serialization and deserialization with JSON and XML, loading data into Hive tables for further analysis. Monitor and optimize the performance of data processing pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability in production environments

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: architecting and optimizing large-scale data processing frameworks for both batch and streaming workloads using technologies including Apache Spark, Snowflake, and AWS; designing, implementing, and managing cloud-native data solutions using core cloud services and Infrastructure as Code; building and maintaining robust, automated ETL/ELT data pipelines using Apache Airflow workflow orchestration tools; designing and managing scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions for continuous data loading and transformation using platforms like Snowflake; implementing and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines to automate the testing and deployment of data engineering solutions; establishing and enforcing data quality, governance, and security standards using data testing frameworks and observability tools; and applying Agile software development methodologies for iterative project delivery, utilizing tools for sprint planning and documentation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
