You track labor time using daily, weekly, and monthly measurements. The career requires keen attention to detail and communication and problem-solving skills. We are one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors in Indiana and among the preeminent specialty contractors in the nation. We specialize in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects.
Shambaugh & Son is looking for an Assistant Floor Supervisor. In the role you be managing the day-to-day operations of the Fabrication Shop, while ensuring all safety requirements are maintained.

- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to scheduling requirements
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Maintain a trusting relationship with work group, manage and develop shift staff
- Commit to plant safety procedures
- Address employees’ issues and work with Shop Manager to address
- Other duties as assigned
- Proven working experience as a production shift supervisor, managing production employees
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety and quality
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Able to adapt to constant changing schedule
- Ability to always remain flexible
- Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
