  • Manage and provide overall operational and clinical nursing leadership to inpatient departments or settings
  • Plan and organize inpatient nursing operations and resources for effective and efficient patient care
  • Establish protocols and practices compliant with department, affiliate, operating unit, system, Joint Commission, and legal standards
  • Identify best practices, standardize workflows and processes, and develop action plans to implement changes
  • Establish and manage capital and operational budgets to achieve financial targets
  • Effectively utilize personnel, resources, and supplies
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external peers, leaders, and local/state/federal agencies
  • Facilitate and collaborate on initiatives and issue resolution
  • Provide guidance or direct intervention in challenging or complex situations
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • RN-Registered Nurse of California
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 8 years of recent relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of operations and workflows and how department processes impact other department operations
  • Understanding of business and operational requirements
  • Leadership skills, including team building and coaching/mentoring
  • Clinical proficiency and knowledge for planning and coordinating patient care
  • Knowledge of state, federal, local, and accreditation standards and requirements
