About the Store Team:

The Store Team is responsible for achieving and maintaining a high level of customer service and friendliness, which includes our outstanding store management team. The Store Team strives to create the best shopping experience possible for our customers. As a community-based company, we want our customers to feel right at home when they shop at Bi-Mart.

About the Store Manager Position:

The Store Manager manages the overall store operations (i.e., controlling expenses, merchandising standards, safety, security, and workforce management) and helps create a store enviornment to drive positive customer and employee experiences, while working to increase sales and profitability. Some daily tasks can include assisting customers on the sales floor, coaching employees, handling freight deliveries in a timely manner, and working closely with other members of store management on other assigned duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for preparing the store for business and making sure all closing tasks are done before the end of the day
  • Maintain great store appearance and organized displays
  • Hold employees to high standards of conduct and coach employees when necessary
  • Embody the values of the company and cultivate a customer-centric and engaged team
  • Keep both your job responsibilities and your work space organized
  • Complete duties, often under tight time constraints, accurately and by deadlines
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
  • Properly handle customers' issues and follow problems through to resolution
  • Help to manage all employee schedules to ensure the store is properly staffed

Experience:

Store Managers should have one or more of the following:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree, especially if in a retail related field (Business, Retail Management, Sales, Communications, etc.)
  • 5+ year(s) of retail experience
  • 5+ years of prior experience in a supervisory role
  • 2+ years of management experience at Bi-Mart or Cascade Farm & Outdoor

Prior experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, and Albertsons is also an asset!

Previous experience as an assistant manager, 1st assistant manager, and other similar positions are valued.

Qualifications

Schedule:

As an employee-owned company, Bi-Mart stores are open 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Monday - Saturday and 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Sunday

Hours may vary depending on workload and assignment
