DIRECTOR OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENTJOB DESCRIPTION
Rosie's Place was founded in 1974 as the first women's shelter in the United States. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity, and find security in their lives. Â
Over the years, we have become much more than a shelter. We are a multi-service community center that not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for thousands of women a year through wide-ranging support, housing, and education services. Rosie's Place relies on the generous support of individuals, foundations, and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.
OPPORTUNITY
The Director of Workforce Development reports to the Senior Director of Opportunity Programs and plays a vital role in program development, strategy implementation, and growth of Rosie's Place's workforce development program. This role leads the team of Workforce Development Advocates, manages the program budget, and ensures the delivery of high-quality training and career development services that promote confidence, skill-building, and long-term economic independence. The Director collaborates across departments and upholds Rosie's Place's mission and core values in all program operations.

WORK EXPECTATIONSÂ
We are a hands-on team and seek employees who are passionate about our work and service to our community. The Director of Workforce Development is a full-time, exempt position. While the Director of Workforce Development is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, they must work on-site at Rosie's Place during part of their work week and engage regularly with staff, guests, and volunteers. They are also expected to be flexible with their in-person days to participate in organization events and other work obligations. This position requires travel between Rosie's Place facilities and community locations.
We adopt safety protocols related to public health as we understand them, which all employees must follow. Among these protocols, we require all employees to be up to date with their yearly vaccinations. Requests for exemptions are considered. Â
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The starting salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000 commensurate with experience.Â
Rosie's Place offers a robust benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, pension contributions, paid vacation, and more.
SCHEDULE
Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm, hybrid work arrangement that requires on-site presence on Saturdays, with other in-office days determined in alignment with organizational and programmatic needs.
