Job description

The Warehouse Lead Assistant supports the Warehouse Lead and upper management in coordinating daily warehouse operations. This role helps oversee workflow, assist team members, and ensure safety and productivity standards are consistently met. The position also helps maintain accurate inventory and efficient material movement throughout the facility by handling daily warehouse responsibilities and effectively managing time to pack and prepare goods corresponding to open orders.
Frequent and thorough communication with team members, production staff, and leadership is essential to ensure expectations are clearly managed and met. Maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness when handling BBC orders is critical in order to uphold strong relationships with distributors and customers.
Key responsibilities include packing, wrapping, and staging orders, assisting with loading and unloading trucks, and helping maintain clean, safe, and organized storage areas. The Warehouse Lead Assistant works closely with the Warehouse Lead and Manager to ensure inventory is tracked accurately and that all orders are properly shipped and received within our ERP system.
This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate production needs and logistics. Following established processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and completing required paperwork are essential to supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Hi-Lo (forklift) experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high level of integrity.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Ability to remain patient and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and shift responsibilities as operational needs change.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs. and maneuver up to 165 lbs. when required.
  • Must be able to remain standing and active for the duration of a shift.
  • Self-motivated team player who can work with minimal supervision and demonstrates strong follow-through.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Ability to interact professionally with vendors and visitors in person.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications as needed.
  • General understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic math and counting skills for inventory accuracy.
  • Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn and navigate warehouse or ERP systems for order processing, shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking.

Working Conditions-
  • Some 2nd shift hours may be required.
  • Will be required to work outdoors throughout ALL seasons.
