  • After six months of employment, some positions may be eligible to apply for a hybrid work arrangement based on job responsibilities, operational needs, supervisor approval, and Dallas College policy.
  • Academic (Faculty) positions require an on-campus presence, even when teaching online courses, in accordance with state law.

The Senior Workday Student Analyst will play an integral role in analyzing, troubleshooting, and designing student business processes in the Workday ERP system. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the implementation of the Workday student module, serving as a functional lead and bringing expertise in working with end users and technical team members to provide workflow and business analysis as well as testing strategies. The Senior Student Analyst will demonstrate in depth knowledge of the student functional area and engenders trust through their leadership and technical competence. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with functional business owners, including advising, admission, curriculum, records, financial aid, and reporting. They will work directly with the Workday business process administrators, security, and analysts to ensure best practices are employed to meet the College's business needs. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage across every level, both inside and outside the college, in support of the College's contributions to the vibrancy, growth, and economic stability of Dallas County, for todays and future generations.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Provide technical competency in the analysis, troubleshooting, and design of Workday business processes. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in the implementation of Workday Student.

  • Ability to operate from the tactical to strategic levels.

  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to Workday functionality in a timely manner with little to no oversight and assist in the design of solutions.

  • Participate in proactive continual improvement activities and measures within their supported business organizations.

  • Lead the quarterly testing and college release cycles for Workday's bi-annual release process.

  • Lead the implementation of new Workday modules.

  • Demonstrate a passion for continual improvement of business process and technology.

  • Experience working in Agile, Lean environments.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage initiatives, themes, and epics to completion.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with cross functional teams.

  • The ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external constituencies.

  • Comfortable with a faster than average pace and frequently changing environment.

  • Must have the ability to maintain the security and integrity of the critical infrastructure of Dallas College.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience working in Student Services with the Workday Enterprise Resource Planning system..

  • Official transcripts will be required. Certification as a Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) is highly desired.

  • Demonstrated experience in a student success area (admission, registration, records, financial aid)

  • Work hours may extend beyond the regular, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p m. workday, including weekends and holidays to provide immediate support due to system failures on a 24/7 basis.

  • Support the implementation, analysis, design, and testing of the student Workday application.

  • Lead Workday functions like troubleshooting system issues, design workflows, and testing configurations and software release evaluation.

  • Act as escalation point for user-reported issues.

  • Participates in planning activities, development, and evaluation of technology solutions, working with cross-functional partners to drive innovation.

  • Leads technical product design, testing, and implementation activities.

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to steer the design and implementation of high-quality solutions across all phases of all applicable projects.

  • Ability to resolve problems, analyze and apply laws, regulations, theories and methodology, research, analyze, apply, and articulate results identifying opportunities.

  • Ensure collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and best practices among partners and colleagues to embed a robust technological ecosystem.
