The Workday Financials & Supply Chain Information Systems (FIS/SCIS) Manager leads the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Workday Financial Management and Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions. This role is accountable for delivering successful Workday implementations and enhancements, ensuring system stability post-golive, and driving continuous process improvement aligned with business strategy. Working with the Senior Director, ERP, the FIS/SCIS Manager will partner with Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and Analytics to execute Workday Financials and Supply Chain implementations, drive optimization efforts, and ensure post-golive operational stability. The manager serves as a handson Workday subject matter expert and people leader who supports enterprise transformation initiatives and promotes adoption of Workday best practices.

Responsibilities and Duties

Workday Implementation & Transformation

  • Lead or play a key role in endtoend Workday Financials and Supply Chain implementations, including business process design and futurestate mapping; configuration, testing, and deployment; data conversion and validation; and cutover planning and golive support
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations aligned with best practices
  • Partner with implementation vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure scope, timeline, and quality expectations are met
  • Support change management, training, and adoption efforts during and after implementation

Leadership & Governance

  • Serve as the functional owner for Workday Financials and Supply Chain modules, roadmap, and standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Workday analysts and administrators
  • Establish governance for enhancements, defects, integrations, and prioritization
  • Provide executiveready updates on implementation progress, risks, and decisions

Workday Configuration & Optimization

  • Oversee configuration and ongoing optimization of Workday Financials and Supply Chain modules, including Core Financials (General Ledger, Accounting Center, Projects); Expenses and Financial Planning; Procurement, Inventory, Strategic Sourcing, and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
  • Continuously improve business processes postimplementation to increase efficiency and system adoption

Operations & Post-GoLive Support

  • Own post-golive stabilization activities, including defect resolution and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate testing and deployment of Workday feature releases and updates
  • Ensure appropriate business process controls, approvals, and security roles are maintained

Reporting, Data & Controls

  • Support financial close, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure data integrity across Workday and downstream systems
  • Partner with Analytics to deliver reliable operational and financial reporting

Integrations & Vendor Management

  • Oversee Workday integrations related to Finance and Supply Chain (e.g., banking, supply chain systems, budgeting tools)
  • Manage implementation partners and ongoing vendor relationships
  • Review solution designs, integration approaches, and statements of work

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field is required.

Experience

5+ years of Workday Financials and/or Supply Chain experience is required.

Handson experience with Workday implementation activities (not limited to post-golive support) is required.

2+ years of people leadership or project leadership experience is required.

Strong understanding of financial and supply chain business processes is required.

Experience working in complex, crossfunctional environments is required.

Healthcare or large enterprise ERP experience is preferred.

Experience supporting ERP transformations and legacy system replacements is preferred.

Familiarity with audit, controls, and compliancedriven environments is preferred.
