Workday Project Leader

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Position Summary

The Workday Project Leader is responsible for planning, directing, and managing Workday implementation, enhancement, optimization, and support initiatives throughout the project lifecycle. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, functional teams, technical resources, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery of Workday solutions that align with organizational goals, timelines, budgets, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Workday implementation, upgrade, enhancement, and optimization projects from initiation through deployment and post-production support.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and project governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Workday developers, integration specialists, analysts, HR, Payroll, Finance, and business stakeholders.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder communications, and executive status reporting.
  • Oversee testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production readiness reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security requirements, and Workday implementation methodologies.
  • Support organizational change management, training, and user adoption activities.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure successful delivery of quality solutions within established timelines and budgets.
