The Workforce Development Specialist initiates, develops, and maintains healthy business relationships to ensure successful employment for veterans enrolled in the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP). The specialist works directly with veterans in achieving job retention by helping them overcome barriers to successful employment and coordinates transportation when necessary. This position involves active outreach through community events and collaborations with clear and effective communication being essential to achieving program outcomes and result in successful placements and long term career growth for veterans.
