The Revenue Processing Associate will work in the Revenue Processing Department and provide support to the business operations for WASH's Client Support, Sales and Finance Departments. The Revenue Processing Associate will play a critical role in auditing and processing collections.
As part of the finance organization reporting to the Revenue Processing Manager, the Revenue Processing Associate will be responsible for explaining calculations, generating reports, and preparing correspondence for other departments to use in customer communications. Other duties may be assigned, such as calculating commission changes and updating records. Training will be provided for commission calculations and using our systems to update records in the database.
Estimated Salary: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour based on qu alifications and experience.
Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, and responsibilities.
What you will do:

  • Audit collections submitted to the commission systems
  • Check for discrepancies, including counter-reading audits and unusual drops or spikes
  • Review collection exceptions, including partial and balance collections
  • Process collections in a timely manner to meet deadlines
  • Manage tracking to ensure that all client accounts that are due to pay are paid timely
  • Process and post check voucher batches
  • Create revenue and commission reports in Excel as assigned and prepare internal correspondence for other departments to use in customer communications
  • Calculate commission changes and update records when customer accounts change or when account reconciliations are required
  • Explain complex commission calculations to customers or other WASH departments
  • Research various records, including accounting statements and tax statements, to resolve customer problems
  • Understand and process tax-related matters such as 1099 forms, W-9 forms, and levies; training will be provided
  • Provide quality internal customer service by assisting customer service representatives with customer issues, complaints, and inquiries, demonstrating an understanding of customer needs, and ensuring timely responses; this role is not outward-facing, and all customer outreach is handled by the Customer Support department or supervisors
  • Interact with departments across the organization, including Lease Processing, Accounting, Customer Support, and Sales
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes, systems, and quality checks across the organization to identify gaps and recommend improvements that enable fast, consistent, and accurate commission processing
What we are looking for:
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel mandatory (sums, lookups, pivot tables, multiple embedded formulae)
  • Confident understanding of math and order of operations and ability to write Excel formulae to do commissions calculations
  • Calculate and process complex customer payments timely and accurately
  • Possess effective verbal and written English communication skills. Able to write clear, succinct emails to customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Able to read and interpret customer contracts and other legal documents
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
