With 70 years of quality manufacturing craftsmanship and service, Woodgrain is a top producer of mouldings, doors, and windows, as well as a premier distributor of specialty building products. Woodgrain Inc. is headquartered in Fruitland, Idaho with six divisions and over 45 manufacturing and warehouse facilities in the United States and South America. Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated.

Position Overview: The Assembler is responsible for assembling pre-hung door units in accordance with customer specifications and established company safety and quality standards.

Principal Responsibilities:

· Reviews and follows work orders to ensure doors are built to the correct customer specifications

· Thoroughly inspect all finished products for defects or irregularities and touch-up as necessary

· Performs production line tasks

· Maintains clean and orderly work area to ensure safety

·Communicates with fellow employees to ensure safe and smooth operations of the assembly line

· Other duties as described by manager

Role Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED required. Experience working in a warehouse setting preferred

· Ability to carefully follow directions

· Ability to use manufacturing tools/machinery (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun, etc.)

· Forklift certification  (depending upon branch requirements)

· Familiarity with door components and assembly techniques preferred

 

Physical Demands:

Exceptional finger and manual dexterity required to successfully perform required tasks, including the ability to frequently lift up to 85 pounds and/or pushing 100 pounds, bend, crouch, stand, and sit for long durations.

Work Environment:

The work environment requires the employee to work regularly near moving mechanical parts and to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee occasionally is exposed to harsh outside weather conditions. This position may require the employee to use safety equipment such as, protective eyewear, earplugs, gloves, safety shoes etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
