Compensation: $78,990.40 - $88,990.40 per year

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing IQ task orders (projects) for technical disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, or civil/buildings), including estimate, client integration, bidding coordination, execution, and completion for both in-house and subcontracted projects.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for preparing information, drawings, plans, and specifications to complete construction and repair projects.
  • Responsible for the development of project plans and specifications, planning documents, and other graphical representations where required.
  • Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
  • Must be able to manage projects as assigned.
  • Confer with engineers, architects, customers, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Complete Job Plans for in-house work orders and IQ, including task development, bill of materials, and supporting information, e.g., permits, safety.
  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, and/or foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Assess the cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
  • Work closely with the Procurement Lead on key subcontracting actions, including scope, RFQ, amendments, award, modifications, and payments.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors and shops to ensure in-house projects are successful. Work closely with subcontractors and DPW counterparts to ensure projects are successful. Work closely with Tessera QC to ensure the QC plan is developed and executed.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in construction or maintenance management preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in planning, estimating, facilities maintenance, or construction management required.
  • Must be knowledgeable in maintenance and construction materials, methods, practices, and costs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP, Construction Quality Management for Contractors (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC system clearances.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
