Job Description:Senior Engineering Program Manager (Wireless)

About the Position:

This Engineering Program Manager (EPM) role will be responsible to lead HW New Product Introduction (NPI) Programs within Campus and Branch program mgmt team leading Wireless Access Points.EPM will lead a cross-functional team across multiple functions like HW, SW, Test, PLM, Manufacturing, Technical publications, customer service etc. driving all the end-to-end deliverables within the NPI Product Life Cycle from concept to production delivery (first revenue shipment) and continued sustenance on the APs.This role will be required to lead AP OS and other SW programs/initiatives.

Responsibilities:Some of key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Lead cross functional teams across programs to deliver wireless Access Point products
  • Manage multiple programs simultaneously
  • Establish and manage cross-functional teams across PLM, HW, SW, Systest, Mfg Operations, Technical publications, customer service to drive deliverables across all the phases in NPI PLC
  • Identify cross-functional interdependencies and risks, and successfully plan and manage those interdependencies and risks
  • Adept at leading various levels of team members, managers, and executives to deliver NPI programs
  • Need to update and maintain program status, milestones, budget, risk and program schedule on a regular basis
  • Communicate program status and drive escalations with senior leadership to keep scope, schedule, budget within tolerance
  • Review and optimize critical path and schedule considering multiple interrelated projects and any risks that materialize
  • Lead and drive any qualifications/initiatives on the wireless products in production

This position requires cross-team coordination, project management and be able to present to executives.This role requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. The candidate needs to be a "go getter" and drive deliverables and issues to closure with high sense of urgency in this face paced environment.

Demonstrated experience in handling multiple concurrent complex projects from concept stage to production across HW and SW programs.

Manage scope, budget estimates (people, prototype costs, and equipment), and schedule

Expert in using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project/Smartsheet.Have experience in using repository and managing access for documents.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10-12 years of experience in IT product-based company preferably in a Telecom/ Networking domain
  • 7+ Years of Program management experience, preferably with 5+ years leading HW programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Scrum Master (SCM) certification
  • Other Information:
    • Relocation is not available for this position
    • Very minimum travel is needed for this role
    • Not a remote job
    • No direct reports or people management responsibilities
