Job description

D & D Smith Winery Llc in Norwalk, OH is looking for a winery hostess/helper to join our team. We are located on 401 West Main St. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable. Please respond to this posting or stop by the winery and fill out an application during open hours. This position may work itself into an assistant manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers with friendly warm attitude & enjoy serving our customers
  • Taking their order at the counter using our POS (Toast), pushing to kitchen or getting their to-go wine order
  • Making foods; pizza, panini, wraps, soups, salads etc
  • Washing dishes, clearing off tables, & cleaning tables, sweeping up crumbs
  • Stocking wine shelves
  • Cleaning; bathrooms, floors (sweep/mop)
  • Some bottling opportunities (Saturday & Sunday mornings)

Qualifications

  • Must be dependable - show up for your shifts
  • Attitude is everything - be cheery, polite, show off your smile!
  • Work well with others - be a part of the winery family
  • Cleanliness - Take care of yourself, dress appropriately for the job you are doing that day.
  • Self starter - motivated to do your best each day
  • Not afraid of crowds - works well under pressure - it can get busy very fast
  • Must be able to work weekends & evenings and we'll switch up day and evening shifts where we can to provide flexibility.
  • Must be able to work all shifts we are open Wed 3-8, Thur 3-9, Fri 1-10, Sat 12-10 or Sun 12-6 (doesn't mean you'll work all those shifts but must be able to do any time)
  • Must be able to lift a 50# box of wine up steps.
