Job Title: Windows Desktop Administrator - Associate
Location: Fort Huachuca, AZ
Clearance Level: Secret Clearance
Required Certification:
  • Must have Security+ CE certification prior to hire
  • Must have Microsoft desktop certification, MD-102 (or higher), AZ-900 (or higher), or CompTIA A+, within 6 months of hire

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
  • Be a self-motivated system administrator to provide enterprise desktop support for the Army in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Build and configure Windows-based systems in support of highly visible mission areas
  • Proactively and efficiently administer desktops using enterprise toolsets such as MCM, VMware Mirage, VMware Horizon, etc.
  • Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Ensure desktop configuration compliance with DoD and Army regulations
  • Document technical troubleshooting efforts
  • Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have Security+ CE certification prior to hire
  • Must acquire Microsoft desktop certification, MD-102 (or higher), AZ-900 (or higher), or CompTIA A+, within 6 months of hire
  • HS + 2 years of experience in technical field, AA/AS, or BA/BS, to include up to one year of hands-on Windows desktop administration
  • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration
  • Experience with physical and virtual (VMware) desktops
  • Experience with zero client environment
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Ability to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems
  • Knowledge of networking concepts
  • Ability to create and/or modify scripts (batch, PowerShell)
  • Ability to document technical troubleshooting efforts
  • Proficiency with Windows Active Directory services
  • Familiarity with McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (MCM)
  • Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs and IAVAs
  • Be able to effectively communicate with team members and customers
  • Work independently and as a team member; set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
  • Familiarity with Intune and Azure preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior military IT operations experience at the Brigade level or higher
  • Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
