Musket Corp's highly competitive and fast-growing internship program offers students meaningful opportunities to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of our energy trading business. Participants develop valuable skills and industry knowledge that extend far beyond the classroom while learning the standards, expectations, and professional etiquette of a corporate environment. BASIC PURPOSE: The internship program is based out of Musket Corp's headquarters in Houston, TX. This role is designed to fully immerse students in the day-to-day activities of a commodities trading company. After training, Summer Interns will be placed across multiple business groups. Potential assignments include supply and trading, alternative fuels, middle office, trade risk and compliance, commercial operations, strategic initiatives, supply chain, and others. Summer Interns will be tasked with real responsibilities related to different functions of the business.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Market analysis
  • Product inventory reconciliation
  • Trade risk reporting
  • Cost analysis
  • Data research and validation
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Education:
    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Currently enrolled in four-year university program, a sophomore level or above (pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Economics or Finance), Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, Quantitative studies, or related field)
  • Experience:
    • Past Internship experience a plus but not necessary.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, general computer knowledge; Python, SQL or related coding skills are a plus
    • Soft Skills: Keen attention to detail, strong oral and verbal communication skills, organization skills, critical thinker, and team player
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
