  • Conduct interactive nutrition workshops and cooking demonstrations using provided recipes, including shopping for ingredients and escorting participants to relevant events

  • Implement outreach plans and deliver presentations to local groups, agencies, and partners to recruit participants and promote the Food as Medicine Initiative

  • Encourage participation in recovery-oriented, self-help, and pro-social groups to help participants link to natural support networks

  • Document all services in alignment with regulatory requirements and submit accurate weekly and monthly reports to leadership

  • Assist with a nutrition and wellness community assessment and maintain an up-to-date resource directory

  • Attend and participate in weekly supervision, staff meetings, and professional training sessions

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or CRPA-Provisional certification

  • Knowledge or shared lived experience with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and/or Stimulant Use Disorder (StUD)

  • Knowledge and commitment to recovery-oriented systems of care

  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds

  • Experience with advocacy, outreach, engagement, self-help, recovery, and transitional supports

  • Computer literacy including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR)

  • Ability to travel throughout the required catchment area using public transportation for community and home visits

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including non-standard hours, some Saturdays, and evenings

  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required
