Job description

Title: Regional Sales Manager (Western)
Department: Sales
Reports to: Director of Global SalesPosition Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) drives sales growth in a designated territory for Our Client's engineered systems, equipment, components, services, and aftermarket parts. This role manages third-party sales reps, distributors, and OEMs, and develops customer and industry relationships to promote and specify Our Client's products.
In collaboration with internal teams (Product Line Management, Applications, Engineering, and Solutions), the RSM leads project development, supports sales efforts, sets annual targets with the Director of Sales, and coordinates trade show participation. The RSM ensures cross-functional communication and provides strategic leadership across sales and marketing activities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow territory sales and improve margins.
  • Support and manage sales reps through communication, technical guidance, and commercial input.
  • Promote product lines to engineering firms, contractors, and industry influencers.
  • Gather project specs and engineering details to support bidding and execution.
  • Generate quotes and collaborate on competitive proposals and bid strategies.
  • Support pricing for aftermarket and direct media sales.
  • Maintain CRM with up-to-date sales activities, forecasts, and project tracking.
  • Coordinate travel, field visits, and prepare trip reports.
  • Work with internal teams to create sales materials and presentations.
  • Report regularly on regional sales performance and market trends.
  • Attend trade shows, support setup/teardown, and manage lead follow-up.
  • Assist project execution, training, system evaluation, and field troubleshooting.
  • Support collections with Accounts Receivable and handle special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering preferred; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in technical sales or related industry.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in reading technical documents and preparing sales reports and budgets.
  • CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Must reside within the territory and be able to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standard office duties with occasional physical activity (climbing, kneeling, etc.).
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and screen use.
  • Ability to travel across the territory
