CPM Holdings is headquartered in Blaine, Minnesota, and has more than 1,300 employees with production facilities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
CPM Industrial Solutions engineers, manufactures, services, and supports particle size reduction and pelleting equipment for a variety of industries, including oilseed, animal feed, human food, chemical, and mineral processing.
We are seeking a Western Regional Sales Manager to drive aftermarket sales and support customers throughout the assigned Western territory.
Sales Territory: Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana (AZ, UT, WY, ID, MT)
Location: This is a remote position; however, the successful candidate must reside in Wyoming or be willing to relocate to Wyoming at their own expense prior to their first day of employment. Relocation assistance is not provided.
The candidate must live within a reasonable distance of a well-connected airport and be available for regular travel throughout the assigned Western territory.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading sales growth and customer satisfaction within an assigned geographic territory. This position manages customer relationships, supports and develops Territory Representatives, coordinates quotations and order activity, and works closely with internal departments to ensure exceptional customer service. The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for achieving sales objectives, identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share, and maintaining long-term customer partnerships.
Essential Functions:
Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales goals and increase market share.
  • Grow sales through existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed established sales objectives and performance metrics.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Regional Territory Management
  • Manage all sales activities within the assigned region.
  • Develop annual sales forecasts and territory sales budgets.
  • Strategic regional development
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to maintain customer relationships and support sales initiatives.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and industry meetings.

Leadership & Territory Representative Support
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate Territory Managers to maximize regional sales performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and establish measurable sales objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Customer Service, Shipping, Accounting, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with product launches, pricing strategies, and sales promotions.
  • Communicate customer feedback and market intelligence to management.
  • Support business process improvements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related work experience.
  • Minimum of five years of outside sales experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or related markets.
  • Previous sales management or territory management experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical products and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience developing customer relationships and negotiating sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Strong computer and data management skills.
  • Ability to prepare quotations, reports, sales forecasts, and presentations.

Travel Requirements
  • Regular travel throughout the assigned sales territory is required.
  • Overnight travel of up to 50% may be required, including occasional extended trips.

Work Environment
  • Combination of office, manufacturing, and customer field environments.
  • Frequent customer visits requiring walking through manufacturing facilities.
  • Occasional lifting of product samples or marketing materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline as required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling industrial or engineered products.
  • Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, OEMs, or industrial contractors.
