Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

  • 2nd Shift (9:00 AM - 9:30 PM)
  • 2nd Shift (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM)

Department: Behavioral Medicine Center

Location: 3340 Hospital Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603

Compensation: $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

Are you a nursing professional looking for a flexible schedule and a leadership opportunity? At HealthSource Saginaw, we're seeking Nurse Supervisors to support our Behavioral Medicine Center on an every-other-weekend basis. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced nurse who is passionate about guiding clinical teams, supporting quality patient care, and making a meaningful impact in behavioral health.

As a Nurse Supervisor, you'll provide leadership and direction to our nursing staff while helping to ensure a safe, compliant, and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include assisting with the coordination of staffing schedules, supporting clinical operations, promoting regulatory compliance, and serving as a key liaison between frontline staff and leadership.

What You'll Do:

The Nursing Supervisor will perform the full range of assignments for patients including but not limited to:

  • Determine the optimal allocation of weekend staff and adjust based on changes in unit acuity.
  • Receive/record employee call-offs and replace vacancies as needed.
  • Oversee/coordinate patient care on assigned shifts.
  • Address/resolve employee, patient and family complaints.
  • Assist in survey compliance, quality assurance/performance improvement and staff development duties, asassigned.
  • Monitor the delivery of clinical care provided to patients.
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and support to better plan work flow in which may include working the unit.
  • Assist/direct RNs in completing risk assessments and investigations of injury.
  • Assist RNs in assessing patients who are experiencing acute changes.
  • Provide clinical expertise in the management of medical and psychiatric emergencies.
  • Provide clinical expertise in medical management, crisis and behavior management techniques.
  • Direct staff response to facility emergencies.
  • Meet routinely with nursing leadership.
