Master Scheduler

Location: Redstone Arsenal – Huntsville, AL

Brown Technologies is a rapidly growing company with a proven record of success supporting complex, cutting-edge programs. We are an employee-centric company that understands the individuals who comprise our workforce are our most important asset, and we are proudly recognized as one of "The Best Place for Working Parents." Come join our team of experienced, dedicated, and committed professionals whose focus is to solve the mission-critical problems of our customers.

Brown Technologies is currently seeking a Master Scheduler to support an Army Aviation Acquisition Program. The Master Scheduler is responsible for gathering data and building, integrating, and maintaining the Project Master Schedule in Primavera, ensuring schedule health, valid network logic, and reliable critical path reporting. This role performs cost/schedule integration and Earned Value Management (EVM), develops recovery plans and "what-if" scenarios, and delivers clear status, metrics, and recommendations that enable stakeholders to make effective decisions. The ideal candidate is an expert Primavera user with deep acquisition-program scheduling experience who can work effectively across participating groups while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather data, establish, and maintain a Project Master Schedule for an Army Aviation Acquisition Program utilizing Primavera, coordinating and aligning inputs from all participating groups.
  • Conduct schedule analysis and assessments to ensure schedules are structured properly with complete network logic, are capable of reporting critical path(s), and follow industry scheduling best practices.
  • Conduct trend analysis, baseline vs. current comparisons, margin assessments, cost/schedule risk assessments, duration compression, and schedule health checks.
  • Track schedule progress and develop custom reports and metrics.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on schedule work-arounds and recovery plans so customers can make effective decisions.
  • Conduct cost and schedule integration, ensuring budget and resource requirements for programs/projects are realistic and achievable, and assess impacts resulting from changes to project cost, schedule, or technical baselines.
  • Update the current status of the project at specified intervals, including variances and related actions; obtain monthly progress updates from participating groups and consolidate them into the Project Master Schedule.
  • Interpret the results of subsequent analyses, identifying critical activities and their effects on the schedule, and validate that remedial actions will meet customer requirements.
  • Report project status to stakeholders and develop "what-if" scenarios and recovery plans as needed.
  • Maintain and operate the change control process.
  • Participate in the Risk Management process and manage schedule-related mitigation and avoidance actions.
  • Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and monitoring on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze performance data and prepare Estimates at Completion (EACs).
  • Support the annual PPBE process internal to the Project Office.
  • Provide expert guidance on, and implement and manage, integrated scheduling tools.
  • Prepare written and verbal reports to management regarding cost and schedule variances.
  • Conduct weekly Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews.
  • Participate in change control boards and other meetings as required to ensure proper resource planning and forecasting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience developing and executing Master Schedules for acquisition programs.
  • Fully trained and experienced in Primavera as a scheduling tool.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and establishing Estimates at Completion (EACs).
  • Experience managing life cycle support strategies and the required acquisition documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience managing, planning, and executing complex projects, with the ability to support complex acquisition development projects.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Teamwork focused on conducting studies, logistics and technical projects, or problem resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Expert-level familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert user of Primavera (P6).
  • Prior experience supporting Army or DoD aviation acquisition programs.
  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or equivalent scheduling/EVM certification.
  • Experience integrating cost and schedule data within an EVM System (EVMS) environment.
