Overview
Tecolote Research, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Schedule Analyst to support program and project scheduling activities for federal government and aerospace clients. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with 0-3 years of experience. The selected candidate will work under close supervision to assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and supporting the overall program planning process.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of program/project schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and WBS dictionaries.
  • Monitor schedule implementation and track project progress against baseline objectives.
  • Update and maintain schedule data to reflect changes in project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Conduct basic schedule analysis to evaluate progress, identify potential delays, and assess alignment with baseline schedules.
  • Support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process by integrating schedule inputs and tracking milestones.
  • Perform critical path identification and basic "what-if" scenario analyses to evaluate alternate planning strategies.
  • Support schedule reporting requirements and help maintain schedule archives.
  • Provide schedule and resource projections to assist in program decision-making and risk assessment.

Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics).
  • 0-3 years of applicable experience in scheduling, project planning, or related analytical support roles.
  • Basic understanding of project scheduling principles, WBS development, and schedule performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Exposure to federal government or aerospace environments.
  • Understanding of the PPBE process or experience supporting government programs.
