Job description

Non-Invasive Cardiologist - Phoenix, AZ
If you're a Non-Invasive Cardiologist looking for a stable Phoenix practice with a strong clinical focus, hospital and outpatient variety, and a clear 2-year partnership track, this is an opportunity to build a long-term home while earning $450K-$550K.
Overview & Highlights
  • Location: Phoenix, Arizona - year-round outdoor recreation, a growing metro area, and access to Scottsdale, the Sonoran Desert, and surrounding mountain communities
  • Schedule: Full-time; currently approximately 50% outpatient clinic / 50% hospital, with the opportunity to shift toward a more clinic-focused schedule
  • Compensation: $450,000-$550,000
  • Bonus: Eligible for additional bonus compensation after the first year
  • Partnership: 2-year partnership track opportunity
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance; malpractice coverage; tail coverage; PTO/sick time; CME reimbursement; license reimbursement; and 401(k) with Safe Harbor
  • Sign-On / Relocation: Negotiable
Location & Logistics
  • Work Environment: Private-practice-oriented cardiology setting using Epic EMR
  • Clinical Mix: Approximately half-day clinic and half-day hospital coverage
  • Clinic Volume: Approximately 16 patients per half-day clinic session
  • Call: Approximately 1:3 coverage at Deer Valley and Sonoran Crossing
  • Weekend Coverage: Weekend rounding is part of the coverage model, with NP support so you are not rounding alone
  • Interventional Coverage: Interventional cardiology coverage is already handled
  • Clinical Support: Eligible for scribe support
  • Start Timeline: We are hiring for the right long-term fit and can be flexible on timing. We welcome new graduates, physicians available now, and those considering a planned transition.
About the Opportunity / A Day in the Life
This is a full-time Non-Invasive Cardiology opportunity for a physician who enjoys both outpatient continuity and hospital-based cardiology but ultimately sees themselves moving toward a more clinic-focused practice.
Your current schedule will generally be split between the clinic and hospital. A typical half-day clinic session includes approximately 16 patients, while the hospital portion provides the opportunity to round and manage cardiology patients alongside an established team.
Core responsibilities include general non-invasive cardiology, EKG interpretation, and stress testing. The ability to read vascular studies or PET scans is a plus, and experience with TEE is welcomed, but this is not a procedure-heavy role.
You'll work within Epic and can be eligible for scribe support to help streamline documentation. During weekend rounding, NP support is available, and interventional coverage is already handled.
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Clear partnership path: Opportunity to become a partner after approximately 2 years
  • Strong earning potential: $450K-$550K base range with bonus eligibility after year one
  • Balanced clinical work: Mix of outpatient cardiology and hospital rounding with the potential to transition toward full-time clinic
  • Clinical support: NP backup for weekend rounding, established interventional coverage, and scribe eligibility
  • Flexible experience level: Open to both new graduates and experienced cardiologists seeking a long-term practice
  • Clinical-first environment: Best suited to a cardiologist focused on patient care and private practice rather than an academic career
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiology care in outpatient and hospital settings
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions
  • Interpret EKGs and stress tests
  • Conduct outpatient cardiology visits and maintain continuity of care
  • Round on hospitalized cardiology patients as scheduled
  • Coordinate care with interventional cardiologists, NPs, and other members of the clinical team
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently within Epic
  • Participate in the practice's call and weekend coverage rotation
  • Communicate treatment plans and follow-up recommendations clearly with patients and families
  • Support high-quality, efficient clinical workflows and long-term patient relationships
Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
  • Appropriate training to practice Non-Invasive Cardiology
  • Ability to interpret EKGs and stress tests
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Interest in establishing a stable, long-term practice in the Phoenix area
  • New graduates and experienced physicians are welcome to apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to interpret vascular studies and/or PET scans
  • TEE experience is a plus but not required
  • Physicians seeking a long-term private practice and partnership opportunity are strongly encouraged to apply
Apply For Consideration
If you're a Non-Invasive Cardiologist looking for competitive compensation, a defined partnership opportunity, a mix of clinic and hospital work, and a practice where you can establish yourself for the long term, apply for consideration.
