Join Us as a Nurse Practitioner!
We are looking for Per Diem - Weekend Rounding and vacation coverage for our Admissions and Unit areas.
Requirements:
  • 2 weekends per month (Saturday & Sunday 8am - 5pm)
  • 2 holidays per year
  • weekday coverage as needed with prior notice

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a member of the mental health care team that provides treatment to patients who need psychiatric care. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, from patient assessment and diagnosis to the development and implementation of treatment plans.
As a Nurse Practitioner:
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
  • Document patient care in electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives

The Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • RN licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner within the state of MA required.
  • Prior experience in a Psychiatry setting is preferred but not required.
  • MCSR and DEA license required
  • Advanced level knowledge and expertise in Medicine and advanced skills in the application of child/adolescent and/or adult medicine
  • Knowledge of current ICD methodology
  • Skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations applicable to behavioral health inpatient services (e.g. JC, CMS, DMH, DPH)
  • Time management, problem-solving, crisis management, and team-building capacity; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare technology
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of current mental health laws and ethical standards

Pay Range:
Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience.
$90.00 - $95.00 per hour
