Job description

Our Cardiothoracic team is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join a highly specialized, fast-paced inpatient service. This team performs a wide range of procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), maze procedures, aortic repairs, and valve replacements.

This is a 100% inpatient role focused on the care of post-operative patients, along with managing consults and coordinating discharges. You'll play a key role in guiding patients through their recovery while working closely with an experienced, collaborative surgical team.

Qualifications:
Certified Nurse Practitioner with (or eligible for) Virginia licensure and active DEA
Team-oriented with a strong commitment to patient care
Provider Experience in general surgery, critical care, cardiology, or cardiothoracic surgery preferred

Schedule & Role Details:
5 days per week, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
100% inpatient
Work alongside 2 surgeons and 3 APPs
Night call rotation: 1:3 to 1:4
Weekend/holiday rotation: 1:3 to 1:4
Hands-on training provided

What You'll Do:
Round on post-operative cardiothoracic patients
Manage consults and coordinate care plans
Facilitate discharges and ensure smooth transitions of care
