The Cardio-Thoracic/Vascular Advanced Practitioner plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in a Union Medical Group facility. This position will work in the inpatient and outpatient settings and include a weekend rounding rotation.

Cardio-thoracic/vascular Advanced Practice Provider Details
Position Details:
  • Full time - 80 hours per pay
  • Monday-Friday 8a-5p with a weekend rounding rotation
  • Inpatient rounding
  • Outpatient clinic

Essential Job Duties:
  • Collaborates with the physician or manager to determine needs of patients
  • Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
  • Contributes to plan of care for pre-defined patient problems.
  • Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
  • Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
  • Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
  • Assists the physician with special procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program, or Physician Assistant program
  • Must have Indiana RN license for Nurse Practitioners
  • Must have active APRN or Physician Asst/CSR license, or be eligible for licenses

License/Certification:
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
