ABOUT CASCADE:
Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County.
We are looking for an RN to join our inpatient team. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
NOC Shift, Thursday - Saturday: 3 - 12s, 7:00pm - 7:30am
PAY SCALE:
RN Associate: $48.43 - $59.04
RN BS: $51.13 - $62.33 (BS in related field)
RN BSN: $53.81 - $65.59
RN MSN: $59.19 - $72.15
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:
  • Washington State Department of Health Registered Nurse Licensure is required.
  • Two years RN experience preferred; behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. National background check if have not lived in WA State consecutively the last 3 years.
  • Must be physically able to pass violence prevention training.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the personnel office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Interaction with patients, families, physicians, teammates, contractors, and vendors must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional.
  • Behavior must promote an atmosphere of teamwork which is consistent with facility standards and guidelines to ensure an excellent healthcare experience.
  • Demonstrates continued competence in caring for individuals based on age-specific and cultural needs.
  • Observing and recording patients' behavior.
  • Coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals for creating and evaluating customized care plans.
  • To provide emotional and psychological support to the patients and their families, RNs create harmonious environment.
  • Maintaining reports of patients' medical histories, and monitoring changes in their condition.
  • Carrying out the requisite treatments and medications.
  • Checking the stock on a regular basis for maintaining the inventory level and placing orders if required.
  • Adhering with the protocols, norms, rules, and regulations to maintain complete medical records.
  • Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with facility procedures.
  • Conducting research for improving the nursing practices and healthcare outcomes.
  • Discussing treatment with pharmacists and physicians in the critical cases.
  • Keeping an eye on each aspect of patient care that includes physical activity plus proper diet.
  • Resolving patients' problems and fulfilling their requirements by applying multifaceted team strategy.
  • Attending educational workshops for enhancing professional and technical knowledge.
  • Registered Nurse maintains patient charts and documents in the patient record.
  • Must be familiar with EHR, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital personnel.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Uses good reasoning ability and independent judgment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time, majority of scheduled shift.
  • Protective holds, movements and carries.
  • Blocking and redirecting patient movements.
  • Physical interventions in response to aggressive and self-injurious behavior.
  • Ability to move quickly and confidently to intervene in situations when protective holds and/or movements are deemed necessary.
  • Ability to pursue a client in the event they try to leave the secure unit.
  • Successful completion of MOAB training (Management of Aggressive Behavior).
    • Including but not limited to pivoting, knee squats, shuffling front and backwards, assisting a person to the floor, stabilizing people in standing, seated, lying and supine positions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
